HB Ice Cream Funday took place in school on June 14th. The Funday raises money for Down Syndrome Ireland. We had a fantastic response from the boys who once again showed their tremendous generosity raising €777.90. Huge thanks to the parents who turned up on the day to help dish out the ice cream to over 500 boys!

Tuesday: Junior and Senior Infants Wednesday: 1st / 2nd / 3rd Classes Thursday: 4th / 5th / 6th Classes The colour system will be in use. All pupils will be assigned a colour Red / Blue / Green or White by their teacher. We would ask parents to understand that boys may not get their favourite colour and that colours will be assigned on a random basis by their class teacher. Congratulations and well done to our U13 hurlers who reached the U13 Cumann Na mBunscol Division 1 Hurling final. This was another fantastic achievement for the school. Huge credit goes to Mr Curitn and Mr Harney who have trained these boys in the mornings, lunchtimes and evenings after school. Unfortunately they lost the final to Naas by a goal. There were some outstanding performances from the Scoil Na Mainistreach boys throughout the field. Thanks to Declan Owens who captured some of the moments on camera which can be seen below.

The next draw will take place Friday 2nd June. Active Schools Week 2017 held in Scoil Na Mainistreach was as usual a huge success. The parkrun and the Callaghan Cup Finals took place last weekend and concluded 2 events that had begun during Active Week. Many thanks to all the teachers who helped to organise the wonderful weeks activities for the boys.
