On Thursday 19th November I went to TV3 Studios. I was one of the toy testers for the Toy Show. My toy was called Hot Wires. It was a really good toy. You can make anything that has electricity in it with this toy. The hosts were Maria Walsh ( Rose of Tralee 2014 ) and Brian Ormond ( National Lottery )
It was a very long day but very interesting and a great experience.
In the summer every year I go to my Grandad's and Grandma's house in England . This Summer I was asked to play for Ackworth, the local under 15 Cricket Team. We got to the final of the Dyson Skidmore Cricket Championship.I didn't get to bowl but I fielded and batted. I got 14 runs. The score was 18 wickets to Fishlake the other team, and 9 wickets to us. After the game we had a great evening in the Clubhouse.
We have been writing our own sea stories. Here are some of them:
Last week Mr. Devine's class took Ms. Burcheal's 1st Class on a Science walk where they had to identify living and non-living things on the schools grounds. Also included are photos from the 5th Class trip to Maynooth University.
Today in class we were revising basic circuits. We are going to work with 2nd class tomorrow and help them understand how circuits work and how to light a bulb. We managed to make a simple switch and then some of us even worked out how to get many bulbs lighting at the same time!
So far this year we have learned: The Smugglers Song by Rudyard Kipling, Cargoes by John Masefield and The Witches Spell by William Shakespeare. We have now begun to learn Tarantella by Hilaire Belloc.
